ENTERTAINMENTS.
' THEATRE ROYAL. The programme presented by Mossrs. Fuller and Sons this week is one full of interest. Mr. Jules Garrison and his "Two Maids" still delight the audionco with their clever turn, and the public will only have a few more nights of these artists. Tho last" two nights are announced of Ardel, the equilibrist, and Fanny llalle, a graceful balancer. The other members of the' company acquitted themselves capably. KING'S THEATRE. Judging from the largo attendance at the King's Theatre last evening, . this week's change of programme seems to have "jumped" ■ into popular favour. Some of the pictures are very fine, notably "Thau Shalt Not," a picture full of touching scenes connected with the separation of two lovers, owing to the man haying contracted consumption. One of the best pictures in this week's, programme undoubtedly is "A • Funeral in Annum," the colouring being splendid throughout. Tho comic element .is represented by "I am Loved for Myself Alone," and others. As usual, a matinee will be held to-morrow afternoon. HIS MAJESTY'S. THEATRE. For tho second production of this week's programme a largo audience assembled at His Majesty's Theatre last night. "Hall Caine at Home" attracted considerable interest. For those who are interested in detectivo stories, "A Case of Identity" is shown. Sportsmen would delight in a new picture called "Otter Hunting," and the laughter is hearty when "Foolshead as Porter" is shown upon tho sheet. Other pictures such as "Victims of Fate," "For Her Sister's Sake," and many more go to make up a splendid programme. Tho usual matinee will bo held to-morrow afternoon. STAR PICTURES. Folk living at Newtown can spend' a. very pleasant evening by visiting the Star Pictures at St. Thomas's Hall. A good exhibition is being shown, and is watched with interest by good audiences. Another performance will be given this evening. SKATING RINK. The weather is well suited for rinking, and it is.evident that the Wellington public realise the fun to be gained by visiting the Rink. At all sessions yesterday thero were large attendances,: testifying to the popularity of this winter pastime. A musical entortninment will bo given to-night by tho Young Women's Bible Class Union, in the Vivian Street Baptist Church Schoolroom.' ■ The entertainment will' commence at 8 o'clock.
