(From Our Special Correspondent.) e —' WEST END SCHOOL BAZAAR. ■ The opening of the Petone West End School Bazaar took place yesterday afternoon, in the Petone Drill Hall. Til© initial ceremony was performed by the Mayor (llr. J. W. Jl'Ewan), who spofco of the great interest in educational-affairs in Petone. He also reviewed the steps by ivhicli they first got their primary school and secondary school and teclii nical school, and added that they would not be content till they got a high school proper. ' Speeches were also given by Mr. Robert Lee, Mr. Hogg, M.P., and llr. Bedingfleld (headmaster of the school).Business -was brisk during the afternoon, and the hall crowded' in the evening. The bazaar will continue till Saturday. The following is a complete list of stallholders:— / Christmas Tree: Hisses Thompson (3).
