RONALD-HARPER CASES
■ SIS WITNESSES SENTENCED. . By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Rec. July 14, 9 p.m.) ■ Melbourne, July 14. The six men, F. S. Siddeley, C. W. Bartling, E. E. Batchelor, James Paton, Charles Paton, and Bredin, who pleaded guilty to having committed perjury in tho Ronald-Harper slander case, have each been sentenced. to two years', imprisonment. William Harrison, one of the accused who pleaded guilty to a charge of perjury arising out of the Ronald-Harper cast, has already served three months' imprisonment for the offence. The judge therefore allowed him to withdraw his plea and substitute one of not guilty. He was discharged.
