Mrs. Crippen, an American, aged 34, and wife of an American dentist, some timo ago secured a music hall engagement in London under the stage name of Bella Elloi'e, but had not been seen since February. Detectives yesterday found her battered remains under the flagstones in a Coalcellar at Hilldrop Crescent, Camden Road, where she and her, husband hadresided for some years. . The police are inquiring as to tho whereabouts of the. husband, aged fifty. Ho quitted the house recently. . FALSE SCENTS STARTED. ' (Rec. July 14, 11.10 p.m.) London, July 14. , The "Daily Mail" states that Mrs. Crippen held an official post in the Music Hall Artists' Guild. Inquirers at the house in February were informed that she had gone to the Continent to recuperate. An announcement of her death appeared in the theatrical newspapers, but the police discovered that no such death had occurred in the town named. \
