Williamson's management. " Mr. H. B. Irving'is the eldest son of the late Sir Henry Irving, and is an actor of the highest rank in England, who bids fair to follow in hi& father's Already he has achieved famo in several' of his father's , successes, namely, as Mathias in "The Bells," in "Louis XI," and in the dual role in "The Lyons Mail." His latest creation is. that ; of "Dr. Jekyll 'and Mr. Hyde," in the play founded on R. L. Stevenson's story; Miss Dorothea ' Baird (Mrs. Irving) is the daughter of John F. Baird, barrister. After playing., with Ben Greet's companies in the provinces, she made a conspicuous success a,s "Trilby" with Beerbohm Tree (for which 6he was, especially selected by Du Maurier). Since then she has played a variety of leading parts, latterly in conjunction with her husband, whom she married in 1896. Miss Baird is 35 years, of age.
