This morning, the Governor, Lord la> lington, visited the Training College ami the Normal School, and addressed tha students on the importance of good education. This afternoon he was shown over the .Mental Hospital, and on hig way back visited tie Point Chevalier School. Subsequently, has Excellency drove out to the Veterans' Home, whiob, has always had the sympathy of ths King's representative since it was founded by Lord Banfurly. His Excellency left this evening by the Main Trunk express. He is to again visit Auckland on the 15th of next month, to open the Winter Show of the Auckland A. and P. Association.
