As a result of the recent lynching of the Anti-Saloon League detective, who shot a barkeeper dead at Newark, Ohio, the Mayor of Newark has been suspended pending an investigation. (Rec. July 12, 10.10 p.m.). Now. York, July 12. Governor Harman, of Ohioi who has suspended . the Mayor of Newark in connection with the recent lynching, is now invited to suspend the sheriff for failing to check the lynching. A special grand jury has been summoned to investigate the whole case. The New York "Times" states that the investigation will incidentally increase Mr. Harraan's prestige as the Democratic candidate for the Presi- S denoy.
