Tlie Aborigines Protection Society, in a further letter to Sir Edward Orey, Secretary for i'oreign Affairs, describes a number of alleged murders on the Amazon.

The society encloses a letter from the explorer, Mr. E. Nordonskjold, detailing the enslavement of Indians.

-" The letter describes districts of Bolivia which were flourishing under the Jesuits aB being now depopulated.

It is stated thnt men are earning their livelihood by enclosing villages and killing the adults, and selling the children to the rubber plantations for 400 pesos (about £30) apiece.
