HIGH COMMISSIONER'S CABLE.

The Commerce and Tourists Division of the Department of Agriculture, Commerce, and Tourists has received tho following cablegram from the High Commissioner dated London. July' 9, 1910:— Mutton: The market is very dull. There is less demand, and supplies are increasing. Average price to-day: Canterbury, 3jd. por lb.: North Island, 33d. Lamb: Tho market is weak. Stocks of lamb on hand are heavy, and arc widely distributed amongst agents, who are pushing sales. The weather lately lias been very unfavourable to tho sale of lamb. Canterbury, sd. per lb.; otlier than Canterbury, 4Jd.

Beef: The market continues dull. Supplies of River Pla,t« Iwef aro heavy. New Zealand hinds, 3id. per lb.; force, 2Jd. nor

Butter: The market is quiet but firm for best quality. New Zealand is in small supply. Choicest New Zealand butter today is 109s. per cwt., DanisU 1155., Australian 1025., and Siberian 98s.

Olieese: Tho market is quiet, but moderate business is doing. White, 565. Gd.; coloured, 545. 6d. per cwt.

Heini): The market is dull and very littlo business is doing. New Zealand, Rood fair, on snot, per ton. £24 55.: fair fjrnde, .£22 55.; fair current Manila, £21 IPs. Forward shipment: New Zealand, (food fair, per ton, ■€24. Fair grade, X2i 155.; fair current "Vaiiila, £7.1. T')o output from Manila for the weel; was 20.C00 bales. Stock of New Zmlantl, Z55 tons.
