SAILORS' REST,

Afi excellent concert was provided in tho Sailors' Rest last evening under tho auspices of St. Patrick's Seamen's Conference of the Society of St. Vincent do Paul. Enthusiastic applause from the large audience of seamen and waterfide workers greeted tho efforts of each of the performers, and a most enjoyable ivening was spent. AmOLj; the items submitted were tho following:—Pianoforte duct, Master and Miss Rowell; song, Miss 11. Bailey; euphonium and cornet duet, Messrs. Hvurne and Driver; song, Mips A. Frith; recitation, Mr. George Schmidt; waltz clog, Mr. T. Connolly; comio sketch, Messrs. Clayton and Collins; song and dance, Mr. J. Latto; coon songs, Miss M. Murphy; ballad, Mr. G. Robertson; Scotch songs, Mr. W. Lambert; song, Miss I. Clayton. The double sailors' hornpipe, by Miss and Master Rowell was a feature of the programme, and they were several times encored. Tho accompaniments were efficiently played by. Miss P. Doherty, Miss M. Bailey, and Miss Donaldson. Captain Bonner returned thanks to the performers.
