A return of Government advertising for the year ended March 31, 1910 —a yoar later than the return submitted tho other day—was laid on the table of the Honso of Representatives yesterday, in reply to the request of Mr. Massey. Auckland "Star" (Government) -322 17 6 "New Zealand Herald (Opposition) 322 6 3 The Dominion (Opposition) 12 16 3 "Evening Post" (Opposition) 599. 1 11 "Now Zealand Times (Government) 576 1 7 Christchurch "Press" (Opposition) 401 19 5 "Lyttelton Times" (Government) 424 7 9 "Otago Daily Times" (Opposition) 447 8 6 Dunedin "Star" (Government) 401 10 0 Among papers which received more Government advertisements than Tub Dominion arc: • Wellington " Free Lance," £190 lis. 4d., the Auckland Observer" £1.14 Is. 3d.; Christchurch "Spectator" £165 Is. Bd., "New Zealand Truth" £24 95., "Red Funnel" magazine, £16, "Saturday Night" (Auckland), £24 17s. 7d., "New Zealand Tablet" £26 25., "Railway Review" £28 7s. sd.
The Dannevirke "Evening News," an Opposition paper, received advertisements to the value of £1 9s. 3d., tlie Dannevirke "Advocate" (Government) receiving £68 los., and Dannevirke "Daily Press" £15 9s. 3d. .
