PRESENT DREADNOUGHT DOCKS.

The Civil Lord of the Admiralty made the following statement in tho House of Commons on April 25, 1907:— "We had at home five Government docks capable of taking the Dreadnought; abroad eight. Of the docks at home, four were at Keyham and one was at Portsmouth. Of docks belonging to the Government capable o£ > taking the Invincible typo, tlicro were eight at liome and three abroad. There were private docks at homo capable of taking tho Dreadnought to tho number of ten; abroad three. There was a grand total of 2G docks in British territory capable of taking the Dreadnought."

In last year's Estimates tho sum of .£30,032 was provided for the construction of floating docks.
