PICTURES FORBIDDEN IN MANY CITIES. (Rec.' July 8, 11.15 p.m.) New York, July 8. Chicago welcomed Johnson despite the. police prohibition. Bands were forbidden, except at Johnson's home, where a carpet of roses was laid from the kerb- to the door. , Washington, San Francisco, Boston, Los Angeles, and many other cities 'have forbidden kinematograph displays of the fight. Maine, Georgia, Tesas, Indiana, and Arkansas are likely to,follow suit.
The Washington authorities will not permit Johnson to appear in the music halls there.
