A GIRL'S LAPSE.
'.A girl named Harriet March, nearly 19 years of .age, was arraigned on charges of the theft of a brooch, valued at 255., tho property of Annie Meek, and also of the th'eft of a rolled-gold watch, gold chain, gold brooch, and goblet, of a total value of £9 155., the property of Henry Flockton.
The accused, who had pawned the articles, pleaded guilty. She had previously been convicted on other charges.
Tho magistrate committed her to the Mount Magdala Home for six months, and also ordered that the stolen articles should be returned to the owners on payment of the amount due to the pawnbrokei.
