.-.'(Specially written for TakDominion.) SATURDAY. Macaroni soup. Broiled steak. Potatoes. ■ Pumpkin. Ground rice pudding. v _ SUNDAY. Vegetable soup. Roast sirloin/of beef. Horse raddish sauce. Yorkshire pud- ■ ding. Cabbage. Apple tart. . -,;V. , SUPPER. \ Cold beef. Veal and ham/pie. Salad. General satisfaction pudding. GENERAL SATISFACTION PUDDING. Four sponge calces, J pint of milk, 8 eggs, sugar to taste for custard, jam, puff pastry, 3 tablespoonfuls of pounded white sugar for the meringue. . Line a piedish, with puff pastry, and spread, over the bottom a thick layer of jam;'lay upon this the sponge cakes; pour .over them a custard made of the milk :and yolks of the eggs slightly sweetened, and,'bake for one hour. Make'', a meringue of the whites of the eggs and the sugar, heap this'roughly and lightly upon the ■ pudding. Set in the oven and colour a delicate brown. Serve quite cold. '•
