GAZETTE ANNOUNCEMENTS. The following announcements relating to the Defence Forces are gazetted:— Territorial officers resigned, and posted to the Active List—Lieut. H. Eastgato (Wellington Civil Service Rifles), Captain J. JJuthie, junr. (Wellington Guards), Captain R. E. Rudman (Wellington College Cadets), Lieut. R. R. Ilayson (Newton Rifles).
Territorial officers appointed—A. C. C. Stevens, late Royal Field Artillery, to be staff officer to the commandant' of the Junior Cadets, with the rank of lieutenant; N. P. Hastings, to bo lieutenant, Dominion Scouts; F. 0. Moren, to be lieutenant, Seddon Horse; Alexander A. Johnson, F.R.C.V.S., to be captain, NewZealand Veterinary Corps; Geo. Byrnes, M.8., to be captain, New Zealand Medical Corps.
Territorial officers promoted—No. 1 Regiment, Otago Mounted Rifles, Captain W. C. Macdonald, to lie major; No. -1 Regiment, Wellington .Mounted Rilte, Captain J. Sandtiminn, to bo major; No. 2 Regiment, Wellington Mounted Rifles, Lieut, i'. de U. .Brandon, to be captain; Chaplain Captain the Rev. Mackenzie Gibson, to be major (honorary chaplain, third class).
