CROWDS SAFELY LANDED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Rec. July 8, 0.15 a.m.) New York, July 7. While hundreds of passengers were aboard tho New York ferry boat Grand Republic, a terrific fire occurred amidships. The steamer raced for the pier at Rockaway Bcach, Brooklyn, arriving eafely. The Grand Republic is a sister ship i to the General Slocuru, which was burned with great loss of life in 1904.
