"WELLINGTON SHARE MARKET. . A. good business was done in Waihi Grand Junctions yesterday. ,Thcy closed weak in Auckland on tho previous day, evidently with the object of letting some of the keen buyers get in. Yesterday they immediaately rose, and sales were- made in Wellington at 435. The general belief Is that these shares will see more money, but, so far, tho fluctuations have been between ,10s. and lis. Ross Goldflelds were weak, and little business was done in them. Since developments in the cast end of the Waihi Grand Junction mine, which disclosed important values and widths on tho Royal and Empire lodes, and which continue to maintain their values, an assay by Haszard nd Haszard shows that tho trend of the Empire lodo runs into the Waihi Extended property. The manascment of the latter mine is now driving at a similar level to tho Grand Junction .with a view to picking up this lode. Tho Royal lode is running into the Waihi Reefs Consolidated ■ property.
CONSOLIDATED GOUDFIELDS. The following telegram was received from the Consolidated Goldficlds by the Wellington Stock Exchange yesterday:— Progress: Crushed 3932 tons, yielding bullion valued at £5261; cj-anided 2785 tons, yielding £1015; sulphurets produced estimated value, £660. Wealth of . Nations: Crushed 1675 tons, yielding £2272; cyanided 1570 tons, yielding £392. Blaekwater: Crushed 3240 tons, yielding £6979; cyanided 2245 tons for £1036.
NEW BIG RIYER. The following telegram was received from the New Big River Gold Mining Company. Ltd.:—"June crushing, short period; 48 ounces lldwt. from 70 tons from battery, and, 107 ounces 2dwt.' from 300 tons from cyanide; total value,, about £460."
