WAIWERA AT AUCKLAND. Anions the arrivals at, Auckland yesterdny v;as the Shaw, ftavill and Albion Company's Waiwcra, from llobart. She commences homeward loading immediately, and makes a call at Wellington in about a week's lime.
THE SUSSEX. It is expected that tho Foderal-Houldcr-Shlre liner Sussex will arrive here from Wanganui before daylight, to-morrow, and will commence Homeward loading early. Slie leaves on Thursday evening for Timaru and Jjyttelton, sailing finally from the lust-named port for Avonmoutli on July 18.
THE NEW EMPIRE TRANSPORT. A cable message received by the New Zealand and African Steamship Company states that the new Federal-Houlder-Shire liner Empire Transport left Liverpool on Saturday for Auckland direct. She has part cargo for Wellington, and is due jiero about August 29.
KINO MALCOLM LEFT MARSEILLES. Advice by yesterday's mail states that tho Italian barque King Malcolm left Marseilles on June 23 for Wellington. She brings a cargo of tiles, part for this port and part for Sydney. Messrs. Briscoe and Co., Ltd., will be the local agents.
INDItANI AT MELBOURNE. Yesterday's arrivals at Melbourne included the A. and A. Line chartered steamer Indrani, from New York. The vessel discharges part cargo at Melbourne, and then cornea to New Zealand ports via Launceston.
THE ARAHURA. A telegram received by the Union Company states that the Arahura arrived at Greymouth at 8 a.m. yesterday, and was iixed to leave at 7.30 p.m. on the return journey to Westport, Nelson. Picton, and Wellington. She is due here to-morrow evening.
Altogether 128 passengers are coming to Now Zealand by tho Jloana, which is due here to-ioorroiv, from Sydney. Of this number 82 are travelling saloon and 46 steerage.
An expected arrival here to-morrow is tho Westport Coal Company's collier Ca,nopus, with a cargo of coal from Westport.
Yesterday's cablegrams state that the Miueric clcared Ncwcasilc for Wellington. According to Sydney flies the Minerio is a now steamer, 4713 tons gross. She is stated to be bound from Calcutta, to South America via Newcastle.
On Thursday morning, abont 8 a.m.. the Government steamer llinemoa is to leave oil her usual cruise of the southern lighthouses. She will be absent from port for some four weeks.
The agency of the Jane Douglas has been taken over by Messrs. W. and G. Turnbull and Co., who notify shippers that the steamer will bo dispatched for llokitilia direct to-day.
On the run from New Plymouth to Wellington, the Union Company's Rosamond occupied over 48 hours, her lengthy trip being due to the rough weather met with in the Strait. On Sunday tho steamer was sheltering at Long Island, and did not continue for Wellington until early yesterday morning. She»also met. with high seas and heavy fog 011 the passage between Onehunga and New Plymouth last week.
The Union Company's Wairuna, from Newcastle, passed Stephen's Island yesterday afternoon, but had not arrived at a late hour last night.
