The channel over tho bar, he says, is now regaining iU former position, and instead of hugging tho south mole, is being pushed to the northward, and kept to its proper place, running straight out. The work of extending tho north mole will be commenced next week, and the line of both moles will now be drawn close together in order lo converge the ebb current and uive a greater scouring effect on tho bar.
