MISSIONS TO SEAMEN.
An instructive lecture on ambulance .work was given b.v Mr. James Moore at the Missions to Seamen Institute last evening before a large and interested audience. The lecturer showed the methods of bandaging wounds, cuts, broken limbs, bleeding arteries, burns, ctc. ■ He also gavo several useful hints relating to various health matters. Competitions in connection witli first aid were held and won by sailors from ships in port. During the evening ■musical items were rendered by Miss Christic .and Master Christie'. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded the performers at the conclusion of tile meeting.
