COMING AND GOING.
STATISTICS FOR MAY. During May, 1909, the departures from Ne\V Zealand exceeded the arrirals by 1112. According to the official notice in ,the Gazette, the loss of population is nearly as great during May this year, the number of departures exceeding the arrivals by 909, 2170 persons having arrived, and 31-39 departed during tho month mentioned.
