Mr. Roosevelt told tlio King of Donmark an amusing story as to when lie was campaigning in Dakota for the Vice-Presidency. The audience was favourable to free silver and hostilo t-o a gold standard. An old Western] friend, Seth Bulloch, sat on the platform with arms apparently folded. The audienco remained quiet throughout tho meoting. At its conclusion Mr. ltoosovolt remarked to a citizen, '<1 think I hold that crowd pretty well." "Held them well I" exclaimed tho Wosterner, "Seth sent word that lie would shoot the first man who interrupted, and lie sat on the platform with two guns. Nobody dared to let out a yip." Young Roller—"! think I'll spend that money I saved up; I've been thinking of a trip to England." His Mother— "But you were to save that tor a rainy day." Young Roller—"Well, T'ni going to London. I'll be sure to find a rainy day there."
