BATHS FOR THE YEAR. A meeliug of the Knrori Borough Council was lialil last evening. There were present the Mayor (Mr. G. 1 Dasent), Councillors Spiers, Hniuu, Standen, Wellin;,', Wedde, and Hum. A report was received from the electrical engineer of the City Council stating that the capital expenditure on Ihe electric lighting installation within the Knrori borough amounted to ,1:2812 7s. ■Id. on .March 31, not including meters anil transformers. Consideration of the works report was held over till next meeHiig. The following rates for the year were agreed to:—General rate, 2 1-IGcl. in tho £; charitable aid rate, 1-Cd.; special rate on JMOUO loan, l-10d.; special rate on loan of .£2OOO, l-20d.; special rate on loan of ,£2OOO, l-i!od.; special rate oil loan of .£2OOO, l-12d. The total rates amount to 3 M-25d. in the £, as compared with last year, and are estimated to bring in .£8757 7s. 2d., an increase of .£673 7s. Sd. as compared with last year. The iucrease in rates amounts to 2s. 3.U1. on .£IOO. The estimates for the year allow for a debit balance of .£9 Is. lid. Public works are estimated to cost ,£1839 10s.
