THE GUESSING PRIZES. The result's-of the guessing competitions at the National Dairy Show at Palmers'ton last week are as follow: — No. 1 sheep-guessing (correct weight 1521b5.).—H. Rowlands (Tiakitahuna), 1521b5., first; .T. Small (Newberry), 151J lbs., second. • No. 2 sheep-guessing (correct weight 1181b.).—M. Cook (Palinerston North), the Syndicate (Palinerston North), and S. B. 'Williams (Opunake) divide the prizes, all Having guessed the correct weight. For the pig-guessing (correct weight VSJlbs), 11. Canton (Palinerston), D. C. Speedy (Stoney Creek), A. W. Shannon (Awahuri), and R. Lloyd (Stoney Creek) guessed the correct weight and divide the prizes. At an extraordinary general meeting of the Moa Farmers' 'Co-operative Dairy Company, Ltd. (Inglewood), new articles of association wero approved. A proposal that the company should ' purchase a site on the Junction lioad, between the Mangaone and Tariki lioads, and thereon ■erect and equip a creamery was defeated. The following resolutions wero then discussed '"That the company forthwith purchase a site oil Bristol lioad, close to where the proposed bridge over the Manganui River is to be erected, and erect thereon and equip a creamery," and also purchase from the Waitui Dairy Company the site and buildings now used by them as a factory, and equip such building as a creamery." One of those concerned explained that they wanted an a'ssuraTico that if the bridge was erected they should be provided with a creamery; tiiev did not want to incur the expense of erecting the bridgo and then to l)e passed over.
