HUTT AND PETONE NEWS.
(Prom Our Special Correspondent.) Tho annual tea and concert in connection with St. David's Sunday School was held last evening, when, despite the rough weather, there were over 100 children and between GO and 70 adults present. Tho concert held in the church afterwards .was largely attended, and the programme ■was well received. Tho following contributed items:—Misses Baker, Feist, Prouse, and Bennett, -Mrs. Eidge, and Messrs. Walling, Chamberlain, Mason, and Feist. The choir rendered several anthems, and the singing of the children was a feature. Mr. W. Kennio presided at the organ. Before Mr. W. Inglis (J.P.), at the Petone Police Court yesterday morning, Thomas Cook was charged with being illegally on premises, and was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence whan called upon. At the Petone Oddfellows' Hall last jiight the Hockey Minstrels gave an interesting entertainment in aid of tho Petone Ambulance Van Fund. The proceeds realised about .£lO.
