Captain Dickson, who in April broke all time and distance records for a British aviator by remaining in tho air 1 hour 33 minutes in his Parman biplane at the Camp de Chalons, has again distinguished himself. Captain Dickson has this time won tho aggregate ■ distanco prize at tho Rouen aviation mooting. His record for the meeting was ICS miles. THEN AND .NOW. In 1900 M. Santos Dumont established a record with a magnificent aeroplane flight of 10J yards. At the recent Nice mectiug eleven competitors covered between them a total distanco of 1730 miles. In tho following table, culled from tho "Car," are given the miles covered by the aviators:— Miles. 1. Effimoff 750 2. Von den Born 380 3. Chavez 223 i. Rolls 207! S. Latham 2011 0. Olit.slaegers , 51 . 7. Duroy 36 8. Mctrot 35 (I. Rawlinson 12J 10. Grade 7J 11. Rougier (i It was (it the Nice meetiug that Mr. Rolls mado his over-sea trip of twentynine miles. The height prizo went to Jlr. Latham, who reached an altitude of 056 metres—over 2000 feet. M. Chavez was second, having attained 641 metres.
