Rcttl Glasson; "How Ministers and Churches may Conserve the. Eesults of the Mission,", by Dr. J. Q. A. Henry; ■ : "Preventive Evangelism," by Bev. A. B. .. ■ Chappell, M.A. . Complimentary ' reinaTks were made with regard to the work' done by the, president- of the association, the Eev. J. Kennedy Elliott, and the secretary, the Rev.' J. R. Clark, and both gentle- . . men. were ro-eleoted. , A resolution, moved by the Eev. J. J. North, was unanimously adopted as Mlows:—"The Wellington Ministers' Association records its warm approval of the , strictures passed by Jtr. Justice Chap- . man on the Gambling Act so far as it ■ concerns the~ licensing- of bookmakers. The association believes the time,is oportune for the organisation of the 'widely-ex-pressed opposition to bookmakers, and endrses tho proposals of the Anti-gamb-ling League to organise a national deputation to %> Premier -with-' the, object of securing the immediate repeal of the bookmakers' clause." The rest of the time at.the disposal of members was spent in. discussing a paper on "Socialism, read by the Roy. B. . . llutson. '
