DEATH FROM.SUFFOCATION. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) . Blenheim, Juno 27.' Mary Ann. Hodson, wifo of Thomas Hodson, labourer, was found dead yesterday morning in a wood-bos at tho rear of the duelling. Death was evidently due ;to suffocation. '"The body boro no, marks of violence. FATALLY INJURED WHILE BLAST- ■ ING - Whangarei, Juno 27. Harry Wetherall, married and 40 years of age, died at the hospital this afternoon as tho result of injuries sustained at tho Kiripaka coal mine on Friday. Deceased, in advanco of several . other minors, returned to tho locality where certain blasting charges had been exploded, believing that all were spent. One unexploded charge, however, went off as Wetherall reached the spot, the flying rock causing very serious wounds .to his head. The leaves a family of young children. CITY INQUEST. At tho inquest conducted at .tho Morgiio yesterday by Sir. W. R. Jlaselden, district coroner, touching the death of the late James Jamioson, who expired suddenly at his residence on Saturday, evidence given by Dr. Fyffe was to tho effect that death was dne to syncope, accelerated by fatty degeneration of. the heart. Tho coroner, after hearing the evidence of Mrs. Jainieson, recorded a finding to that effect.
