HIGHWAY ROBBERY AND MURDER. POLES RUN AMOK. By Telegraph—Press Association-Copyright. New York, Juno 26. ' A tragedy similar to that which occurred at Walthamstow, England, in January- of last year, is reported from tho City of Lynn, in Essex County, Massachusetts. : ■ Details so far available 6how that three Polos shot and killed Thomas Landregan, a shoe mnaufacturer, and also killed a policeman, after which they fled with four thousand dollars (£iW) intended for tho wages of tho workers employed by Mr, Landregan, Tho polico pursued the men, but wero fired at continuously. . Ultimately, of two robbers who fought a duel with tho police, one was killed and tho other dangerously wounded. A third, who was arrested after a sharp encounter, was identified as Landregan's murderer, and as belonging to a gang which terrorised Jamaica Plain, West Roxbury, Boston, in 1908, when two men were killed.
