DRAPERY STORE BURNT. Inveroargill, June 25. The drapery establishment of Raines IWhers, at Winton, was destroyed bv fire yesterday. The insurance on the building was £250 in the Alliance, and on the stock £500 each in the Standard and State offices. The adjoining residence of Mrs. Henderson was damaged. At the Supreme Court to-day, Judge Chapman sentenced Hama Horomana,' charged with a serious offence, to fire years' hard labour. Napisr, June 25. At the Supreme Court, Charles Jones, found guilty of .the theft of clothes from the Empire Hotel, Waipawa, was sentenced to six months' imprisonment: Arthur George Coleman, convicted of falso pretences, received a sentence of ono year.
