6 ENGLISH LADY'S BROKEN CONTRACT. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. London, Juno 24. Hie Para Tribunal of Commerce ho-s given its reserved judgment iji the caoo in which M. Tramier, a Marseilles trader, sued Mrs.. Clarke, an English woman residing in Paris, to recover £12,000 for breach of agreement. Covmsel stated that Mrs. Olarko financed the schemo for pearl fishing in the Porsian Gulf, but withdrew on finding that gun-running was included La the business. Counsel for SI. Tramier said that Mrs. Clarke was originally aware of tho whole plan. Ho also contended that tho introduction of arms into Muscat, wluch was a free port, was not prohibited. 11. Tramier had estimated that his net profit would bo £44,000. Tho Tribunal awarded tho plaintiff £9-100. |
