To bo floated locally (or otherwise) by tho issuo of Debentures under tho provisions of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1908," "Tho Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1903," and all other power (if any), enabling the Council in that behalf. THE COUNCIL "of the City of Wellington hereby gives public notice that such Council proposes to borrow (by way of Special Loan within the meaning of '"The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 100S," and its amendment*) the sum of £100,000 for the purposes hereunder set forth:— PURPOSES FOR WHICH THE LOAN IS REQUIRED. Tho work of duplication ot the Main from the AVainui Reservoir to the City; the provision of ft Distributing Reservoir, and 0 the Construction of Bridges over the Wainui-o-Alata River .CSO.OOO Tlu- extension of the Hie reticulation of the City and tho diversion of the existing main to New Hutt River Bridges .£20,000 .£IOO,OOO The Council proposes to pledge a ! Special Rate of one-seventh of a penny ' (1-Id.) in the £ on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the City of Wellington as security for tho said Loan of ,£IOO,OOO, and the Interest and Sinking Fund (if any) thereon. It is proposed that tho wholo of the Loan shall be repayable at the expiration of a term of 25 ynars, computed from the Ist day of October, 1910.
