SUMMARY AND FOKECAST. Moderate to strong westerly winds havo prevailed, with a steadily rising barometer. The weather has been showery on tho West Coast and southern districts ot the South Island, but it has been generally Fair. Present indications are for a change in the ■ weather shortly, freshening 'northerly winds, increasing cloudiness, and general rains probably following within thirty-six hours.
