(From. Our Own Correspondent.) Wanganui, June 24. A meeting of the Wanganui College Old Boys (of whom there was a great gathering at tho. Te Auto-Wanganui match) decided to build a chapel for the now college, at a cost of £5000, and to call for competitive designs for the same throughout New Zealand. The Wanganui Chamber of Commerce will bo represented at tho conference at 1 Palmerston North, to form a North Island League, by Messrs. T. B. Williams (president), A. Burnett, and A. Harris. Arrangements are being made with tho representatives of Pathe Freres, tho famous kinematog'raph film makers, who are now in Wanganui, to take a series of. pictures of Wanganui River, which will include views of tho best scenic bits between Wanganui and tho Houseboat, including pictures of tho steamer breasting and shooting tho rapids. There -havo boon some complaints lately of tho dirty state of the borough water supply, but these will, now bo removed owing to tho reservoir at Okelni having been completely emptied and flushed out, a work which it has taken three days to do. Opportunity was also taken of doing repair work to the dam, which was leaking in a couple of places.
