Tlio four Protecting Powers (France, Italy, Britain, and Russia) have accepted, in principle, the proposal of M. Isvolsky, Russian Minister for Foreign Affairs, fnr a joint occupation of Crete. Tho decision will only bo enforced in the event of Cretan contumacy. GERMANY CONSULTED. DESIR.ES SOLUTION FAVOURABLE TO TURKEY. (Rec. Juno 24, 9.10 p.m.) Constantinople, June 24. ' The Anti-Greek boycott here is rapidly spreading. The four Protecting Powers are discussing tho dispatch of a further Note reaffirming tho Sultan's rights in Crete. The Protecting Powers' have notified Germany that it is their intention each to dispatch a second -warship to Crete. Germany has approved of tho decision, and has expressed tho hope that she will bo consulted in the event of «i definite solution being discussed. Germany states that she desires a solution which will be favourable to Ottoman rights and interests.
