FLOODS AT BOMBAY.
1 REMARKABLE RAINFALL.. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Rec. June. 24, 9.10 p.m.) Calcutta, June 24. A remarkably heavy rainfall has occurred at Bombay. Thirteen inches fell in a few hours, and great floods occurred. [Tho following are amcng the heaviest single showers'of rainfall on record:— At Joyeuse, France, 31.17 inches in twenty-two hours; at Genoa, 30.00 inches in twenty-four hours;.i>t Gibraltar, 33.00 inches in twenty-six hours; on the hills above Bombay, 24.00 inches in one night; and ■on the Khasi Hills, India, 30.00 inches on each of five successive days.l
