In forwarding a donation of £5 ta the Masterton branch of the Navy League, Mr. C. B. Cockburn Hood, a well-known settler, says: —"I think any move in the direction of impressing upon British subjects the absolute necessity of tho British Empire retaining tho command of the sea is deserving of support."
