(By Telegraph— Special CorresuondenO Marton, June 22. Mr. J.-.F.' M'Kelvie has been reelected judae for Hie Rangitikei Racing Club Air. Donald Eraser, who saw the beginning of racing at Bulls ; fifty .years a"o, was again* elected president. °The ballot for the committee of this club resulted in the following being elected:—Messrs. F. 0. Bailey, K. AV. Oalrymplc, J. B. Johnston, Lynn M'Kelvie, A. A. M'Doncll, J. H. Perrctt, AY. J. Phillips, L. M. Richards, T. F. Richardson, and J. H. AVlnskor. During the course of the meeting Mr. J G. AYilson pointed out that the club had paid away £402 last year in total-, isator tax, as . the Government had raised the tax from li per• cent, to 2.J. This + ax was now to be collected on all receipts, so that'fully £600 would be

paid away each year in future. Various clubs had met to discuss the situation, and to mnUo recommendations to alleviate the difficulty, . and another meeting of delegates from country clubs would bo held, when sonic important subjects would be brought - forward. Thin would, 'no doubt, result in some useful suggestions being sent en to the animal conference at Wellington next month.
