DR. HENRY.
': : • ■/.-.■ CHBISTCffIJKOH MISSION. (By Teleeraph—Press Association.) ' ~ Christctuircli, Juno'2l: In an interview' Dr. Henry remarked: The results of the mission in Ckrist- - church have been most 'gratifying to ■ me. As nearly as'l can tell there have been about twelve -. hundred • decision . cards signed and a large number of peo- : pie have risen for prayer and expressed their purpose to' lead a Christian life who have never been in the inquiry rooms, so that the* actual number of : people of Christchurch who have been , benefitted by tho mission cannot bo definitely ■ slated. Continuing, ho said that perhaps tho most gratifying re- . suit of work had been the quickening ■ of the spiritual life of the city, for hundreds of Christians who had attended the missions had been greatly helped and many of them had written expressing thankfulness and gratitude for the blessings that they had received. This indicated a right atmosphere' in the churches to . which these young Christians would attach . themselves. The committee of the mission bado Dr. Henry farewell this morning, when opportunity was taken to ■ presort ' him with a cheque representing tho balance of all collections after, entire expenses of the Christchurch campaign had been "met. Dr. Henry left to-night for 'Wellington lo give, at the.invitation of tho Executive of the New Zealand Alliance, a series of addresses in connection with the no-license conference on temperance • work.in America.
