AMERICAN SHORTAGE 'FEARED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. New York, June 20. Hot dry weather in North and South Dakota and Minnesota, in which States ii quarter of the American wheat crop is grown, has caused appreliension. Another week without general rain, it is calculated, will seriously damage the wheat crop. This lias led to excitement in the American grain markets. The Chicago market closod strong, at from 2jj cents to 3J cents higher, and the New York at 2J to 2J cents higher.
