Mr. Asquith, in reply to questions put in tho Houso of Commons, said that the Government, in entering into the conference with tho Unionists on the constitutional crisis, had not lost sight of tho declared objects of its policy. Tho Primo Minister added that ho was unablo to includo representatives of Labour and other sections in Parliament in tho coming conference. At a meeting of Labour members of the Houso of Commons, Mr. G. N. Barnes presiding, it was declared that tho House of Commons veto resolutions admit of no modification. Tho meeting therefore protested against any assumption of authority by tho front Benches to go behind tho decision of tho House of Commons.
