PUBUD NOTICES. WELLINGTOiN CITY COUNCIL. .- RECEPTION OF His' EXCELLENCY LORD ISLINGTON. WEDNESDAY, 22nd JUNE, at 2 p.m. GENERAL AHEANGEMENTS. (f % {ENTLE3ffiN having Cards of Invita*X lion to tho Dais at the (Jueen's Statue will please PRESENT' SAME ami reach tho Dais NOT LATER than 1.-15 p.m.. Up to 1.-15 p.m. their carriages may approach from Jervois Quay only, and afver leaving their occupants at the Dais will proceed \via Panama and Foiitherston Streets hack to Jervois Quay to form up in due order as instructed by the Marshal. Occupants of carriages will plenso hand "to their coachmen a card bearing their name and official position, in order to enable the Marshal to'accord them their proper plaeo in the Procession. A Reserved Space has been set apart in front of the Dais at the Queen's Statue for tho occupants of carriages who are without cards of admission to the Dais. At the conclusion of the Reception, all carriages will, in proper order, pass between the Dais and the Reserved Area and pick up their respective occupants from both places. The Mayor and Councillors will receive His Excellency at tho Dais at 2 p.m. Tho Mayor will deliver an Address of Welcome, after'which tho Procession will bo immediately formed in order of precedence. Friendly and other Societies, the Mission, 'Tramways, Salvation Army, and Garrison Bands will assemble in Victoria Street, near Messrs. E. W. Mills and Co.'s Premises, at 1.15 p.m., and march to their positions' as" instructed' by tho' Marshal, there to await the signal (after* the proceedings) to moro oil in due order. The Procession will pass from the Dais direct along Panama Street to Lambton Quay, thence to Charlotte. Street and Molesworth Street to the Central Gate of the Grounds of the Old Parliamentary Buildings, and-there form up in due order in the Grounds. All Tram Traffic and ordinary Vehicular Traffic through the Post Offico Square vill be STOPPED , from 1.15 p.m. until tho Procession has'passed.' SWEARING-IN CEREMONY. Those in tile Procession attending the Swearing-in Ceremony will drive to. the Dais in the Old Parliamentary. Grounds, and .take their places thereon as arranged by the Government. AU carriages will leave the Grounds by tho Hill Street' Gate, proceed up Hill Street to Tinakori Road, and upon their return ro pick tin their occupants will do so in REYER'SE ORDER as instructed by the Marshal. " ■ .. Captain G. T. Hall (Active List) has, by permission • of ' the Defence Department, been deputed to act as Marshal Of tho Procession.
