At St. Petersburg at the end of last month a court martial, which sat "with closed doors, tried sixty-eight persons, of whom thirty-three were chargcd with armed robberies and other crimes, in tha capital during the. revolutionary, period. Twenty-nino were sentenced to . death, but it has now been decided to commute to penal servitudo tho sentences in eighteen casea.
