Lord Carrington, President of ' the Board of Agriculture, has appointed a committee to advise on scientific questions relating to tho "improvement- of agriculture,. the best methods of promoting research work at the universities, of aiding scientific, workers who aro studying agricultural problems, and ensuring that new discoveries will be utilised to the benefit of agriculture.
