UNIVERSITY 'REFORM.
, Sir, —I have seen in your issue of Monday ]ast what is stated to bo a report of an interview with mo by a reporter of the Christchurch "Press" on some phases of university reform, and wish to point out that tho report is in many places inaccurate and misleading, having been either garbled in transmission or taken from an unreviscd proof. There are indeed so many mistakes that a correction would involve re-writing a great part of fho report of tho interview. I therefore ask you to ho so good as to insert this note in your paper, so that it may be clear to your leaders that the rejwrt does not accurately express what I said. Tho report that 'appeared ill the "Press" of Saiurday last is accurate.—l am, etc., J. HIGET. , [The report in question was telegraphed to us from Christchurch.]
