WOOL, HIDE, AND TALLOW SALES.

4 Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their fortnightly sale of wool, skins, and hides and tallow yesterday afternoon. The report states:—Good catalogues were offered to a large attendance of buyers. We eloarcd all our .catalogue at very satisfactory prices. Wool and crutch* ings—Prices were on a part with last sale rates, but inferior lots wcro slightly easier. Our offering consisted mainly of crutehings, for which there was good inquiry, bright clean lots being keenly competed for. Sheepskins— Prices were slightly easier, but green skins showed a slight advance. We quote:— Crossbred, 7u. to 73d.; medium crossbred, 5Jd. to Csjd.; hoggets, to 73d.; half-wools, s*d. to ?id.; crossbred, green, 3s. 6d. to 3s. lid. Hides—Prices showed a small decline. Tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantilo Agency Co., Ltd., report as follows:—At our sale yesterday we submitted to a, large attendance of buyers a catalogue comprising 61 bales and IB bass of wool, two bales and a number of packages of rabbitskins, 2250 sheepskins, 70 hides, calfskins, and a quantity of tallow.' There was good competition for all lots, at prices equal to last sale's rates, exuetit for hides, which are id. per lb. lower. Messrs. Levin and Company, Limited, report:—At our sale yesterday wo offered 60 bales ot wool, 20CO sheepskins, 750 liideß, and calfskins, and a quantity of tallow and horsehair. There was a- good attendance of buyers. Wool: Competition was Rood, any clean criifchings being keenly competed for, lull dlnjiy lots were rallinr weaker. Wo quote:—Fine crossbred, 9d. to Wild.; coarse crossbred. 7Jd. to B>d.; lambs wool, 7J(I. to 9d.; pieces and bellies. 4id. to 6d.; looks. 2Sd. to 45(1.; crutchings, 4d. to 7Jd.
