THE INDRADEVI,
IS SHE OVERDUE?. (By -Telegraph—Press Association:) Auckland, Juno 17., The non-arrival. of , the Tyser liner Indradcvi at Auckland from Liverpool is causing some uneasiness in shipping circles. She sailed from Liverpool for Auckland direct on April 17, and was duo here on Juno 8. Tlio average passage from Liverpool to this .port is 53 days, but in several instances steamers have taken 59 days to complete the voyage. ' . '
It' wonld not appear as if there is any■real ciuso for anxiety about the. Indradevi, as, according to Australian shipping files, she was reported at the Cape of Good Hope on' May 17. Assuming this to bo correct, she took 30 days from Liverpool, to the Capo, and at that rate of progress she- could not possibly have reached Auckland on , Juno 8. Probably she will arrive during the next day' or two. . Tho Indradevi' is a steel screw steamer, 5653 tons gross and 3702 tons, net register.' She was built in 1900 at Siinderland, and is owned by Mr. T. B. Royden, of • tho - Indra Line. Her dimensions are: Length, 420ft.;.breadth, 53ft.; depth,. , 29ft. Captain Hollingsworth' was in command when sho was last in New Zealand.
