THE WATER SUPPLY.
A new leak was discovered yestew day iii the Wainni main, this time neas the White Horse Hotel, Ngahanianga< The leak, which was not a serious one, was mended before evening,- and the city engineer hoped to have the water on again by midnight. The Karori reservoir was serving the city yesterday. It often happens.when there has beea a break in a main, and the water is turned on again, that the current finds some other weak spot and forms an outlet. This is what occurred yesterday, though the supply was turned on. very gradually with the object of venting such an accident. '. ■.
