Ltd., report that, at Palincrston North yesterday, a good yarding of sheep met with keen competition, all classes selling readily, any good lines of breeding ewes particularly being eagerly sought after. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd. (Palmerston North, branch), report:—At Palmerston yesterday a moderate entry of sheep and cattle met with a good sale. We quote:—Sheep: Aged breeding ewes, 9s. fid. to 10s. 7d.; storo lambs, Bs. Id. Cattle: Woaners, 30s. to 355.; cows in calf, £4 lis. to £5 2s. 6d.; light fat heifers, £4 45.; light fat Cows, £4 165.; store cows, £3 7s. Gd.
